Purpose of Retreat: A summer get-away that allows you to sew uninterrupted with fellow enthusiasts. You bring your own projects to work on. You can ask your friends to join the retreat, and enjoy this time away from home!
How do I sign up? #1. Pay your registration fee either on-line or in PJ's Quilt and Longarm Studio shop. Click here to pay the registration fee. #2. Reserve your hotel room or secure a room with a friend. See below for the Carlisle Inn information. #3. Fill out the Retreat Emergency Contact form at the bottom of this page. #4. Please provide the name(s) of the friends you want to be seated with below with the Emergency Contact form. #5. If you have any questions/concerns, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. #6. If you would like help locating a roommate for the hotel room, please email email@example.com.
What does this fee include? The use of the conference room for four days with your own 6 ft table for your machine and project work space. Shared ironing boards and cutting tables will be available. The fee does not include your hotel room or meals. No refunds. Full amount is due upon registration.
Does the Carlisle Inn provide breakfast? There is a dining area where complimentary breakfast is served daily, including eggs, waffles, breads, pastries, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc..
Are meals provided? Breakfast is served by the Carlisle Inn. All other meals are on your own, and are not included in the retreat. Der Dutchman restaurant is next to the hotel and is open daily, except for Sunday. All guest rooms have a mini-fridge. A microwave is available in the breakfast room for general use. In the afternoon, the Carlisle Inn puts out cookies in the breakfast room.
What is the Der Dutchman restaurant? Click hereto see Der Dutchman's website. They offer an award winning buffet and a full menu. They also offer a to-go area for quick service on some menu options. They have a fantastic bakery area to satisfy your sweet tooth or a Snickerdoodle Coffee. This is a restaurant known for Broasted Chicken and Manhattans. They have fresh salads and homemade soups as well.

Do I have to book a room at the Carlisle Inn to attend the retreat? While first priority is given to those booking sleeping rooms, day quilters are invited to join on a space available basis.
How do I book my hotel room? You can book online or call the hotel at 844-369-2275. You must book your room by June 10th, 2024. The group code is BOOK5.
How can I book my hotel room on-line? Click herefor the website. Steps: #1) Change the date in the date picker box to July 14 - July 17, 2024. #2) Click on the Check Availability button #3) Click on the Rate Options - Enter Promo Code "BOOK5". Click on APPLY button. #4) You should see "Group Code Applied" and the room rate shows as $149 per night. #5) Finish with the booking process to lock in your room.
What is the Group Rate cost for the Hotel? The group rate is $149 per night, which is $168.37 with tax. The total is expected to be approximately $505 for 3 nights, including tax. If you are sharing a room it is expected that you are approximately paying $250 per person. Please note: This event continues to grow every year. The number of rooms available with the group rate are limited. So don't wait too long to book! What time can I come on Sunday? The Sewing/conference rooms open at 8 am Sunday, July 14th, 2024. The hotel rooms are available for check-in at 3:00 pm.
What time do I need to check out on Wednesday? Check out of the sleep rooms is on Wednesday, July 17th 2024 at 10 am. The Sewing/conference space is available until 8 pm on Wednesday.
Can I sit with my friends? During registration we ask that you provide this information in the Emergency Contact form below. We will work on seat assignments based on information provided on this form. Seat assignments will be distributed via email within a week of the event. If there are issues with the seat assignment, please contact Judy Sherman.
What will I see when I arrive on Sunday? The main lobby has signage for the sewing room(s). If you do not recall your seating assignments, please locate Judy or Marge Gammon at the event. Name tags will be placed on each table for the seating assignments. Most people do not arrive by 8 am, so relax and join in at your convenience on Sunday.
Will there be a snack/treat table? There always has been a snack/treat table that is set up. Meals can not be taken in the conference room, however, snacks are fine. You can bring something to share if you desire.
How do I prepare for the retreat? Plan your projects by taking inventory of everything that you need. Bring more than one project. Cutting your fabric at home helps to prepare your project in order to start sewing. Cutting mats are shared in the conference room. Make sure that your sewing machine is in good working order before the event. More information will be provided closer to the event.
