Autumn - Paper Piece Class with Quilt Kit Class

The purpose of this class is to teach the Foundation Paper Piecing for the leaves only that are in the border of this pattern. 

The class includes the kit and limited to 6 individuals only. 
*Because the kit is required for the class and is only sold to those participating - there will not be any refunds for this class.

If you have not paper pieced yet but are interested, this is a class for you! 

The remaining portion of the pattern utilizes a panel, inner border and the outer border that contains the leaves.  

Included in the class: 
- Kit for Gather with a Grateful Heart (Price of fabric kit alone is approximately $68)
- Autumn pattern designed by Tamarinis (included in the kit with the fabric) 
- 23 copies of the paper piecing block will be pre-made for you.  (These are printed by PJ's staff prior to class) 
- Instruction by Lisa on paper piecing

Prior to Class:
Please cut and label all of your fabrics according to the pattern instructions.  Clip your labeled pieces together or you can bag them.  Good organization of fabrics makes it much easier to proceed through the paper piecing process.

Supplies needed for this class: 
- Sewing Machine 
- 1/4" piecing foot or favorite piecing foot (either will work ok for the purpose of this class)
- Glue sticks - Sewline and Roxanne are both great options!
- Neutral or light brown cotton thread 
- Add-a-quarter ruler 
- A light board is incredibly helpful when paper piecing, however not absolutely necessary
- Copied foundation paper piecing block pattern (supplied by PJ'S)
- Small cutting mat (approximately 12" x 18") or an Omnigrid Foldaway cutting mat, or a rotary cutting mat
- Rotary cutter and replacement blade(s) - cutting paper can dull your blade
- Paper scissors and fabric scissors
- Pins and/or clips (like Wonder Clips) - personal preference
- Mini Iron with ironing mat.  Note:  The Omnigrid Foldaway mat is fantastic because it has both an ironing surface and a cutting surface) 


The kit includes fabric for the binding and quilt top.   Fabric kit does not include the fabric for the backing, or batting.

Instruction will not take the entire day; however, you will be able to repeat the process for the 20 blocks that you need for the project.
