Classic Carryall Tote Bag - Class

This class is to make the Classic Carryall.     We will be making the Tote Bag.  

This is an excellent beginner class to learn a fantastic bag pattern.   

Pattern designed by Andrie Designs and is included in the price of the class.  

Objectives of class: 
Day 1:  Cutting fabric 
Day 2:  Sewing and assembly 

Supplies needed for tote bag: 

• Outer Panel - Pieces A & C plus back of tote:  3/8 yard  Note:  I used fusible fleece for interface here.  
• Contrast Strip - Piece B: 1/4 yard.  I used SF101 for interface here.  
• Lining:  1/2 yard .  I used SF101 for interface on one bag, and I used fusible fleece on another.  
• Pockets Inner and Outer:  3/8 yard (can get extra contrast strip fabric for this).  I used SF101 on these pieces.  
• Handles, Handle Connectors, Zipper Tab - if using fabric you need 1 yard.  If you are using vinyl, you need 1 roll for this.   I did not use any interface on the handles.  I did use SF101 on the handle connectors that had been made of fabric.  
• If using vinyl for tote base, you need 1 additional roll for this.  Otherwise, you need fabric that is 9-1/2" x 6" 
• 4 D-Rings that are 1-1/2" 
• 4 Swivel Hooks that are 1-1/2" 
• 1-3/4 yard of SF101 interface
• Fusible fleece or By Annie soft and stable for the 36”x17”

• Coordinating thread (polyester if using vinyl, otherwise cotton). 
• Scissors and general sewing supplies
• Fabric/Vinyl glue/tape.
• Coordinating zippers:  18", 6" & 8".   At least 1 chunky long pull zipper for the 18" zipper.  
• Small iron to be used on your SF101 interface
• Ironing mat (Classroom ironing boards are not available for student fusible interface or applique projects)
• Applique mat is highly recommended for your ironing mat 
• Zipper foot 
• Vinyl foot if using vinyl. 
• Foot for creating a 1/4" and 1/2" seam allowance 
• Flat head sewing pins
• Marking pen(s) that will disappear with heat/water/air
