D9P - The Baby Quilt

D9P - The Baby Quilt

Why a disappearing 9 patch quilt?  This quilt comes together quickly and is beginner friendly.  If you can sew squares together, you can make a disappearing 9 patch quilt!

This method produces a quilt that looks like it took forever to make, but it really doesn't!  It's a super time-saving short cut method!

The disappearing 9 patch quilt can be scrappy or constructed.  It makes a great scrap buster for that pile of leftover fabric at home, or you can choose coordinates!  (We'll discuss these two options more in class)

There is a math formula to help you figure out all the numbers you need, and the possibilities are limitless!  Make any size quilt using any size blocks that you enjoy working with!

In the class, we will go through the process of making our 9 patch blocks and cutting and re-sewing to create the blocks that will be used in the quilt, as well as the math formula that's used.  This way, after you've learned the process, you can go home and create your own quilt of any size, using any block size of your choice.

For the class, we will be making a baby quilt that will finish at 40" x 50"

Please have all of your fabric squares cut prior to class so that we can get right into sewing.
