Let's Make a FAST Jelly Roll Rug!

*Photo is for inspiration - fabric used was the Summer Breeze Jelly Roll by Moda Fabrics and Bosal 80/20 - 2.5" batting rolls.
The oval rug finishes at roughly 40" x 44" with one jelly roll.
Learn to use the Clover fabric tube maker (included in the price of the class!) to make quick work of the fabric tube for your jelly roll rug!
Lisa made this rug in ONE DAY!
(She did do her jelly roll connections the evening prior, but trimmed dog ears, ironed, made the tube and finished the rug all in one day!)
*Prior to class, please sew all of your jelly roll strips together, end to end. I did mine on a 45-degree angle, but you're welcome to use a straight 1/4" seam as well, if you prefer. Either way will work just fine for this project.
For class, you will need a machine that will do a straight stitch as well as a zig zag stitch, and it will need to be a heavy-duty machine, able to stitch through four layers of fabric and four layers of batting.
Please test your machine prior to coming to class, to be sure that its able to handle the bulk.
You will also need to get TWO rolls (50 yards total) of 2.5" pre-cut batting (made specifically for jelly roll rugs). We carry and recommend the Bosal Katahdin. This is a single run of pre-cut batting, which will make the process of sewing your rug MUCH quicker.
You will need a Jeans/Denim needle and quite a lot of thread for this project as well - make sure you are prepared with a large spool or multiple spools and lots of bobbins or the ability to run more bobbins.
No pattern is required for this class.
