By Annie - Travel Essentials Class

Purpose of class:  To learn how to make the Travel Essentials bag designed by "By Annie" 

** Bring a lunch to have during class.

The Travel Essentials bag is a organizer with: 
- Hot Tools sleeve 
- Used to store essentials in a variety of pockets 
- Folds compactly or open flat for easy access 
- Has a quick grab handle or adjustable detachable strap to carry 
- Can pack hot tools in the sleeve with outer pocket for cords 

Carry the essentials in style in this handy set.  The Organizer has mesh and vinyl pockets for visible storage.  A deep zippered pocket on the bottom is perfect for larger items.  A coordinating Hot tools sleeve has two compartments, including an outer pocket for cords. 

Supplies needed for Organizer: 
- Main fabric - 1 yard 
- Lining fabric - 1 yard 
- Coordinating fabric (bindings, handle, carrying strap, etc) - 3/4 yard 
- By Annies Soft and Stable - 18"x58" 
- Fusible interfacing - 1/3 yard 
- Mesh fabric 5" x 13" 
- Vinyl 8" x 12" 
- One 24" single slide zipper 
- Two 30" double slide zippers 
- 3 yards of 1" polypro strapping 
- Hardware ( 2 - 1" D-ring, 3 - 1" swive hook, 1 - 1" wide mouth slider)
- Thread that matches your fabric/project 

Items needed for class: 
- Sewing machine and feet (e.g. 1/4" seam allowance, zipper foot) 
- Vinyl/Non-stick Teflon foot recommended 
- Snips 
- Rotary Cutter 
- Wonder Clips 
- Sewing pins that do not bend easily 
- Removal marker (e.g. clover chalk pens, or heat removal pen)
- Stiletto and Pressing tool 
- Creative Grids circle ruler or some other template to round corners 
- Quick turn fabric tube turning tool 
- Bodkin (used to pull strapping thru fabric)
- Washable glue stick 
- Double sided basting tape 

Required to be completed before class begins: 
- Quilting must be completed prior to class for Set A and Set B. 

For Quilting you will need: 
a. Quilting Set A (main fabric, lining fabric and Soft & Stable) 
- Main fabric 30" x 14" 
- Lining fabric 30" x 14" 
- Soft & Stable 30" x 14" 
** Pin to join all 3 layers and quilt as desired. 

b. Quilting Set B (main fabric, lining fabric, and Soft & Stable) 
- Main fabric 22" x 18" 
- Lining fabric 22" x 18" 
- Soft & Stable 22" x 18"  
** Pin to join all 3 layers and quilt as desired. 

This is a 2 day class.
