Hot & Heavy: 

Fashionable and cute, these spacious zippered bags in two sizes (we will be making the SMALL in class) will hold a variety of items or your favorite mini or regular-sized household iron.  Each features a zippered pocket on front and a mesh divider and fabric slip pocket inside.  Rings attached to the handle may be used to attach a separate strap.  An easy-to-make cord wrap handily contains cords and can be made with leftover fabrics and interfacing from the project.

Pattern is included.

IMPORTANT:  

In the interest of saving time please pick up the required Hot & Heavy pattern and complete the required quilting ahead of time. This way we can get right into the construction of the bag.  We will be making the SMALL bag in class.

Fabrics, Interfacing and Stabilizer Required for the Small Bag: 

• 5/8 yard main fabric (body. outer pocket)
• 5/8 yard lining fabric (body and outer pocket linings)
• 5/8 yard coordinating fabric (bindings, handles, inner back slip pocket)
• 1/2 yard byAnnie Soft and Stable
• 1/4 yard fusible stabilizer (SUP179 or similar)
• 3" x 17" piece of mesh fabric (inner front slip pocket)

 Other supplies needed: 

- 1 yard of 20MM fold-over elastic
- 24" single-slide zipper to match fabric
- 30" double-slide zipper to match fabric
- 2 yards of 1" polypro strapping
- Two 1" D-rings or triangle rings 
- 5" x 8.75" base stabilizer (clear acrylic, corrugated plastic or heavy cardboard)
- 20" x 17" template plastic or freezer paper to make full-sized templates
- Optional: 3/4" hook and loop tape (velcro) - one piece, 2.75" long - this is for the optional Cord Wrap
- Thread to match chosen fabric
