Take a Stand - by Annie

To create a regular size Take a Stand by Annie bag.  This is a great bag for your quilting supplies. 

Tote features an adjustable, detachable carrying strap plus 2 outer zippered pockets and 2 inner mesh pockets.  These totes are perfect companions to the Tool Case in by Annie's Running with Scissors pattern (sold separately).  

Small size:  8 3/4" H x 12" W and 6 1/2" D 

You must pick up your pattern and do the following before class: 
#1. Pick out your fabrics. 
#2. Copy pages 9-10 labels and cut paper apart for each label. 
#3. Cut the main fabric cut and attach labels.  (page 2)
#4. Cut the lining fabric and attach labels.  (page 2) 
#5. Cut coordinating fabric and attach labels. (page 2) 
#6. Cut Soft and Stable and attach labels. (page 2) 
#7. Cut Fusible interfacing, mesh, elastic and polypro strapping.  (page 2) 
#8. Quilt as directed in Step B (page 2) 
#9. Cut Quilted fabric and seal edges as directed in Step C (page 2) 
#10. Make Bias Binding (page 2-3) 


Fabrics & supplies needed: 
- 3/4 yard main fabric 
- 3/4 yard lining fabric 
- 3/4 yard coordinating fabric 
- 18" x 58" By Annie Soft & Stable 
- Fusible interfacing (2" x 11-1/2") 
- Mesh Fabric for inner pockets 
- 1 24" or longer single slide zipper 
- 1 30" or longer double slide zipper 
- 2-1/4 yards polypro strapping 
- 2 1" rings (hardware) 
- 2 1" hooks (hardware) 
- 1 1" slider (hardware) 
- 1-1/2 yards fold-over elastic 
- Thread to match fabric in your project 

Bring the following to class: 
- Sewing machine in good working order 
- 1/4" piecing foot 
- Zipper foot or what you use to sew in a zipper 
- Snips 
- Wonder clips 
- Stiletto 
- Sewing pins (strong/thick pins) 
- Rotary Cutter 
- Tool that helps you turn inside out fabric tubes created for the straps 
- Marking pen or chalk 
- 24" ruler needed for marking
