Tourist Tote Bag Class

This is a great first tote bag for beginners!  No pockets, no zippers, no closures.  Just a simple open top tote.  It has lots of room for all of your sewing, quilting and crafting goodies!

Once you've got the basics of bag making down, this is a great bag to re-imagine with additional features!  Outside pockets can be added, inside pockets and various types of closures. You could also choose to change the interfacing and quilt your bag sides prior to assembly.  There are just so many options!

***Please have your fabric pieces cut (and preferably fused) prior to attending class***

Finished size of this project is 12" H x 7" D x 12" W bottom X 18-1/2" W bottom. 

Bring the following to class: 
- Your sewing machine  
- All of the sewing feet that you have with your machine. 
- Bring your owners manual for your sewing machine 
- Make sure you bring your 1/4" piecing foot 
- Thread, pins, snips, seam ripper and general sewing supplies 
- Bring your own rotary cutter that has a new fresh blade!  

The fee for the class includes the Tourist pattern.

The following will be provided in the classroom that can be shared by individuals who do not bring their own: 
- 1 large cutting mat 
- 1 iron

Fabric requirements: 
- 1/3 yard cotton fabric for outside top 
- 1/4 yard cotton fabric for outside bottom 
- 1/4 yard cotton fabric for handles 
- 1/2 yard cotton fabric for lining 
- 1-1/4 yards Pellon Decor Bond fusible interfacing (809F, or similar)
